Carlos Salcido

This week is time to talk about a very experienced player that continue to impress me day by day. This week I will be talking about Carlos Arnoldo Salcido. Salcido was born in Ocotlan Jalisco; he started his career with Chivas making his debut in the 2001 season. Salcido never thought he would be a soccer player; he played soccer at amateur level even when he was twenty years old in which most of the players already debuted or at least belong to a team. His big day came when his friends were about to participate in soccer game and they needed a player and Salcido played with a fake license. Some agents of Club Deportivo Guadalajara where in that game, and he played so well that he received an offer from Chivas. After a great world cup given by Salcido in 2006, Carlos Salcido was bought by the Dutch team PSV Eindhoven.

Partido de preparación Japón vs México

Carlos had a very successful time with them being fundamental for this team to win 2 leagues and one cup. In 2010 the left back singed a contract with the English team Fulham Football Club. And one year later Carlos wanted to come back to Mexico, so he move to Tigres, Carlos continue to be a starter and fundamental player not only for his team but also to the national team. Carlos has participated in two world cups, and he was part of the team that won the London 2012 gold medal in the Olympic games being a fundamental part for this team. Rumors say today that Carlos wants to go back to Chivas and retire with them; we might see Carlos in the 2014 World Cup. Sadly for Mexico Carlos is already 33 and he will be ending his career in a couple of years but he has been one or probably the best left-back we have ever had.

Thank You Carlos for your dedication and commitment. Great Player.

Javier Aquino

Javier Aquino, a player that with his explosive speed is capable to take down rivals and send crosses. Javier was formed in the youth academy of Cruz Azul. He was born in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1990. Aquino is a complete outside mid his very dangerous going to the end line and also he is a player that will sacrifice to go back and defend, a player that is very explosive and also very skillful. Javier decided to leave Cruz Azul last January to go to Spain, specifically Villareal a team that plays in the Liga Adelante (second division in Spain), Javier has been playing well and also he is helping the team to gain the promotion back to La Liga.

 aquino

Javier was part of the golden generation that won the Gold Medal in London 2012 Olympics. He was fundamental for this team playing in all the games and scoring one goal. He was also part of the team that won the Pan American gold medal in 2011 and fundamental in the Toulon Tournament in which Mexico won. He is now starting for the Mexican National Team as the right outside mid; he is showing a lot of potential and a lot of compromise. Hopefully Villareal gains the promotion so we can see Javier in La Liga, so he can play against some of the best players of the world. If Aquino keeps playing like this I will not be surprised to see him in the next World Cup in Brazil.

Oribe Peralta

Oribe Peralta, a Mexican soccer player that has really fulfilled our expectations. Oribe Peralta was born in 1984. He makes his professional debut with Monarcas Morelia, he only played two games with them, after two seasons without playing Peralta was transfer to Monterrey playing 68 games scoring 11 goals. Peralta was transfer to Santos Laguna in 2006. Without being very successful Peralta went on loan for 2008-2009 to Jaguares de Chiapas having a better season scoring 12 in 35 games. Peralta came back to Santos Laguna with not a lot of expectation in 2010.

London Olympics Soccer Men

Peralta decides to become one of the best strikers in Mexico, improving his game, improving his movements and scoring more goals. Oribe became popular all over Mexico. As a price for his hard-work he was one of the 3 over 23 years old players in the 2011 Pan American games, winning the top goal scorer with 6 goals including a Hat-Trick against Costa Rica in the semi finals, being fundamental for Mexico to win the gold medal. Peralta went London 2012 Olympic games as one of the 3 over 23 years old players. What he didn’t know is that he was going to be the national hero after this games. Peralta start the Olympic Games with a discrete participation only scoring one goal in the group stages, but when we more need him he appeared scoring a great and very important goal against Japan in the semi finals and then scoring 2 great goals against Brazil in the final, leading Mexico to a 2-1 win that gave us the gold medal for the first time in the history. Oribe is a national hero and a player that keeps increasing his game; he is the leader in Santos Laguna. If he continuous like this we will be seeing him at Brazil 2014 World Cup.

Thank You Oribe.   I Am #Oribeliever

Marco Fabian

Marco Jhonfai Fabian de la Mora (born July 21, 1989). Marco is probably one of the more skillful players Mexican league has had; the player formed in Chivas. In his best days can be considered one of the best players in the continent. The problem with Fabian is his consistency, and lately the injuries he has been going through. Marco debuted in 2007 with Chivas and since then he has had up and downs, but nobody doubts about Fabian’s technique and ability to change the game. Fabian is increasing day by day and he has been more constant in the last couple of years, we all remember the two goals he scored against FC Barcelona in 2011, or the great tournament he had in Toulon in 2012 being the top scorer and tied the record of Alan Shearer with 7 goals. Also Fabian was the top goal scorer in the 2012 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament with the Under-23 national team in which Mexico was the champion. Fabian was part of the London 2012 squad that won the gold medal, being a very important player for this team and scoring against Japan in the semifinals.

Teams around the world have shown interest in Fabian since 2010, including the offer Chivas denied for him for more than 10 million euros from Bayern Munich. Marquito is a player that needs to go to Europe and increase his game. It is very important for him and for Mexico that Fabian goes to a good club in Europe the next summer. Fabian is a great player we need to encourage him to keep evolving and to be that great player that we know he is.

Hector Moreno

When we talk about consistency and a solid center back, we talk about Hector Moreno. Hector Alfredo Moreno was born in Culiacan, Mexico 25 years ago. A center back that has shown consistency and commitment his entire career.  Hector is probably the best player in the Mexico national team roster. A solid defender that is very hard to get over him. The great touch he has to complete long and short passes, the great game he has in the air wining headers makes Moreno such a complete player. Hector is the future Capitan of Mexico national team.

Moreno former player of Pumas de la UNAM departed Mexico in 2008 to play for the Dutch team AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie. After been completely successful and wining one league and one cup, Hector was transfer to Spanish club Espanyol de Barcelona. Moreno is a starter for Espanyol and the most important defender in this squad. Mexico is lucky to have one of the best center backs in the world; important clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter de Milan know the capacity of the Mexican player and have shown interest for him. Hopefully for Hector and for Mexico one of this big clubs purchases him. Moreno was part of the U-17 squad in 2005 when Mexico was the champion in the World Cup, winning the first Under-17 world cup for Mexico. He also played the Under-20 world cup in 2007. Also he was part of the squad for the South Africa 2010 World Cup. We are going to see Hector at his best level for the 2014 Brazil World Cup. By know we keep enjoying of the great soccer that this Mexican international has.

Great player.

Jesus Manuel Corona “El Tecatito”

Born January the 6th in 1993, the right-winger of Monterrey F.C Jesus “el Tecatito” is a Mexican soccer player. Corona is not only meeting our expectations but also is a player that the Mexican fans want to see. “El Tecatito” as he´s popular known in Mexico is a super skillful player that likes to dribble with the ball and get over the other teams defenders. Is one of those players that are fun to watch, he has his own show in the field.

Corona had the opportunity to play in the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup, in which he scored in the opening day. Corona is now starting Monterrey. He showed his ability in the past Under 20 World Cup qualifiers in which Mexico won, Corona was a very important player for this squad. Important teams in the world such as Fiorentina, Lazio, Porto, and Atletico de Madrid are following Corona and we might see him leave Mexico in the next summer. Corona is a player with a lot of future, let´s keep watching him and hopefully his quality keeps increasing.

Raul Alonso Jimenez

This week I will talk about the new striker sensation Club America and Mexico has.  Raul Alonso Jimenez was born at Tepeji, in Hidalgo, Mexico, on May 5, 1991. The 6 ft. 3 in. striker is wining Mexico’s attention not only because he is scoring but also because of his style of play. Raul is the perfect “false nine” forward; his capacity to retain the ball and being able to pick a pass and provide assists to his teammates is impressive. Raul made his debut on October 2011; he is considered one of the most promising players in Club America.

raul-jimenez74-0

Raul played in London 2012 Olympics and he won the Gold Medal, he was also part of the team that won the Toulon Tournament in France last summer, all this tournaments with the Under-23 national team. Jimenez made his debut with the senior national team last January against Denmark in the friendly celebrated in the United States; he also played in the World Cup Qualifier game against Honduras last month. Jimenez has been related to teams like: PSV Eindhoven, Stoke City, and he has also being recognized as an “interesting and promising player” by important newspapers in Spain like “Diario Marca” and “Diaro AS”. Raul has 7 goals in the actual tournament in Mexico he is just one goal behind the top goal scorer leader and he is trying to become for the first time in he’s short career the leader goal scorer in the LIGAMX. Hopefully Club America let Raul dream and allow him to go to Europe. I expect to see Raul Alonso Jimenez in Brazil 2014 World Cup.

Hector Miguel Herrera

This week I will be talking about a very interesting player that is showing great potential in the national teams and also in his club. Hector Miguel Herrera was born 22 years ago. He started his career in the third division league with Cuautla; the born in Rosarito was quickly seen by C.F Pachuca visors to get him. Herrera became famous a few months ago when he make us felt in love with his amazing technique in the 2011 Apertura Tournament in which he won the golden ball for rookie of the year.

It was in 2012 when Herrera became famous all over Mexico and the world, when he won the Meilleur joueur as the most outstanding player of the 2012 Toulon Tournament after helping Mexico win the tournament. And a few days later he won the Gold Medal in London 2012 being a fundamental player for this team. You can see that Herrera plays in another level; the goal he scored this season against Atlante was impressive. Teams around the world and specifically in Europe know about this skillful player and rumors say that FC Porto has already bought him, but Manchester United and Liverpool are also following this young player. It will be this summer when we find out where Herrera is playing but we will see him in Europe next season for sure. The “Fox” as he is known will give Mexico a lot of entertainment in the field, so be aware of Hector Miguel Herrera.

Diego Reyes

This week I am going to talk about one of the best defenders Mexico has nowadays and my personal favorite, Diego Antonio Reyes Rosales. Diego was born on September 19th, 1992. He went to Kipling School located in the north of Mexico City. Even though he’s only 20 years old, Diego has already gone through all the different national team steps (Under-17, Under-20, Under-23, and first team). Diego made his debut with Club America in 2010 against Santos Laguna. In 2011 he won the rookie of the year award. The young player already has a third place medal in the Under-20 World Cup in Colombia, gold medal in the Pan American games in 2011, champion in The Toulon Tournament in 2012, and he is a gold medal winner in the London 2012 Olympics. The center back is the best player Club America has today and he is the second captain of the team.

dr13

December 17th, 2012 F.C. Porto announced the signing of Diego for 7 million euros, and they loaned him to Club America for 6 months. Diego is playing his last season in Mexico and every day he plays he is getting better. You can see that he has the mentality of being a work-horse champion and he has all the skills to succeed in Europe. Diego is a center back with a lot of skills, his 6 ft. 3 in. frame helps him to win headers, and his technique helps him to start plays from the back, he also has great pace. He is an outstanding player with a bright future. We are privileged to have Diego in Club America and in Mexico. Diego is also focusing to accomplish another dream which is to play in Brazil 2014 World Cup.

Is time for Diego to show his potential to the entire world!

Carlos Vela

Carlos Vela was born the first day of March in 1989. He was only 16 when he achieved his first World Cup (Under-17 Peru 2005). Vela won the golden boot for top scorer in the World Cup with 5 goals. Formed in the youth team of Chivas of Guadalajara, Carlos was bought by Arsenal right after the 2005 World Cup. Vela was on loan to different teams such as Celta de Vigo, Salamanca, and Osasuna. When Carlos came back to Arsenal, Arsène Wenger promise that he will be involved in the first team but Carlos wasn´t living his best moment career, so he didn´t succeed. In 2011 he join Real Sociedad on loan, after completing a successful season Real Sociedad bought him for 4 million euros. Carlos was the top scorer for this team the last season, and he is actually the top goal scorer.

Image

Carlos is playing the best soccer in his career and he is the key player for Real Sociedad. Carlos is a complete player; quick, skillful, young, and also he knows how to score. Unfortunately Carlos is really upset with the mexican national team beacuse after getting caught in a party he was banned from representing Mexico for six months this incident was in September 2010.  Carlos has declined the recent call-ups for the national team. Carlos should stop doing this and man up, he is one of the best players Mexico has nowadays so we want him back on the National team. I hope he realizes what he is doing because if he keeps doing this he will miss the 2014 World Cup. We have a lot of new prospects in Mexico that can raise their hand before Carlos.

Vela you are a great player its time to show your best soccer with the national team. Not only do it for yourself, do it for your country.
