Marco Jhonfai Fabian de la Mora (born July 21, 1989). Marco is probably one of the more skillful players Mexican league has had; the player formed in Chivas. In his best days can be considered one of the best players in the continent. The problem with Fabian is his consistency, and lately the injuries he has been going through. Marco debuted in 2007 with Chivas and since then he has had up and downs, but nobody doubts about Fabian’s technique and ability to change the game. Fabian is increasing day by day and he has been more constant in the last couple of years, we all remember the two goals he scored against FC Barcelona in 2011, or the great tournament he had in Toulon in 2012 being the top scorer and tied the record of Alan Shearer with 7 goals. Also Fabian was the top goal scorer in the 2012 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament with the Under-23 national team in which Mexico was the champion. Fabian was part of the London 2012 squad that won the gold medal, being a very important player for this team and scoring against Japan in the semifinals.
Teams around the world have shown interest in Fabian since 2010, including the offer Chivas denied for him for more than 10 million euros from Bayern Munich. Marquito is a player that needs to go to Europe and increase his game. It is very important for him and for Mexico that Fabian goes to a good club in Europe the next summer. Fabian is a great player we need to encourage him to keep evolving and to be that great player that we know he is.
