Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez

My first player would be the Mexican sensation Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez. Little pea was born the 1st of June 1988. He was formed in Chivas youth team. He made his debut in the 2006 season against Club Necaxa scoring his first goal. In the 2010 season,

Hernandez started the season with 8 goals in 5 games, finishing the season as the top scorer. April 8th 2010 was a big day for Hernandez and also for Mexico, Manchester United announced that Chicharito would be playing with them. Hernandez had an impressive first year with the Red Devils scoring 20 goals. Chicharito is the sensation in Mexico, his great capacity of scoring and his great attitude has made him become one of the most popular players in Mexico history. Nowadays, Javier is one of the biggest hopes that we have in Mexico for the 2014 World Cup. With the Mexican national team, Hernandez already has 28 goals in 43 games and if he stays on this track, he will be the highest scorer in Mexican national team history. Javier Hernandez has also helped create a link between Mexican players and Europe. His good development and great capacity has caused international agents and teams to look to the Mexican league for talent like Chicharito’s.. He has also created great marketing in England in the 2011 season with 14% of Manchester United jerseys sold having the Chicharito #14 in the back. The popularity of Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez in Mexico is so great that when the player jumps to the field, the crime in the country decrease. A British newspaper “The Sun” says that Chicharito reduces the crime in Mexico:  Jorge Carlos Martinez, a policeman of Mexico City, states that when CH14 (Chicharito) is playing crimes like car theft, assault and robbery decrease. “Criminals are given a time to see our hero play”. States the policeman. The police suspect that Sir Alex Ferguson keeps the 24-year old striker in constant activity and does not send him to the bench. “Any help related with the crime is welcome”. All these things are called “The Chicharito effect”. Mexicans keep dreaming with this player and hopefully Mexico will produce a lot more players like Hernandez.

Thank You Chicharito!
